Finished in february 1999, "Last Trip on my Ship" wash the 5th album of Cyborg Jeff, released after "Eyes Dreams" and digitaly available on Jamendo in 2009.

Cyborg Jeff after his first year learning Sound Ingineer is back home and now learning marketing. He still develop his material with a new Roland E68 synth, boosted Cyrix 166mhz computer for Impulse Tracker and a 4 tracks Tascam tape recorder. Technicaly this new album also takes more attention to Stereo and better audio quality, upgrading from 8 to 16mo of memory !

All those elements will have an impact to propose an album with better quality as if 20 years later, it's probably missing a modern taste with fat sounds.

Back in Seraing, Cyborg Jeff will find back his friends to work on this album. Thierry D. and Pype to write pop guitar sections but also Pierrick H., Sébastien VALENTI and Valentin BOIGELOT and for sure Didier ROMBAUTS for the ambitious e-Motion's project.

And yes, this re-edition of "Last Trip on my Ship" proposes the 3 unrelased tracks from the dance project e-Motion on wich we are working on the same time at the end of the year 1998. At that time, we just imagine to touch the belgium TOP 50 with musics on the mood of 2 Unlimited with a female voices and dance choregraphy. Feeling, I Want and Dreams was at that time kept secrets for professional edition and i'm happy to let them now add to the album.

A l'origine, "Last trip on my ship" est le 5° album de Cyborg Jeff, finalisé en février 1999. L'album succède donc à Eyes Dreams disponible sur Jamendo depuis 5 ans déjà.

Cyborg Jeff, après un premier essai d'étude d'ingénieur du son, revient au bercaille et se lance alors dans des études de marketing. Il continue à évoluer avec le matériel de l'époque, synthé ROLAND E68, samples, PC Cyrix 166mhz et Impulse Tracker et un Tascam 4 pistes sur K7. Coté technique vous pourrez noter d'ailleurs une utilisation plus systématique de la Stéréo dans les musiques, passant le PC de 8 à 16mo de mémoire !

Tout ces éléments vont permettent de pouvoir offrir un son d'un cran bien supérieur aux premiers albums, certes, avec 15 ans de plus, l'album peut sonner maintenant un peu plat, mais après avoir très longuement réfléchi, j'ai choisi de lui conserver son rendu d'origine, signature du monde du Sound Tracking !

De retour sur Seraing, Cyborg Jeff retrouve ceux avec qui il aime faire de la musique, de ce fait "Last trip on my ship" sera régulièrement travaillé avec eux. Thierry et Sylvain Martin (Pype) pour quelques séquences guitares, Pierrick Hansen (DJ 3.14), Valentin Boigelot (Tbob) et Sébastien Valenti en versus et surtout l'ambitieux projet e-Motion avec Didier Rombauts.

En effet, pour cette nouvelle édition de "Last trip on my ship", je vous ai retrouvé les 3 titres du projet de dance music e-Motion, sur lequel je travaillais alors et que j'imaginais faire entrer dans le TOP 50 belge ! Des musiques dignes de 2 Unlimited, une chanteuses, des danseuses,... Feeling, I Want et Dreams à cette époque allaient donc rester dans le secrets et patienter une hypothétique édition pro ! Il était donc important de les retrouver cette fois sur cet album !

Enfin, en janvier 1999, profitant d'un équipement de home studio honnorable, Cyborg Jeff écrivait ses premières compos de Pop / Variété française avec "Je voudrais te revoir".
