The Rules of Heatown (mode Badboy)

==FR==

At the beginning of 2005, the technical transition from Impulse Tracker to Jeskola Buzz Tracker took its pace and I started to take pleasure in experimenting with many new sounds thanks to the virtual instruments that we each discovered within the Trackers@Work community.

On his side, my virtual friend Tohad has launched a new ambitious video game project around his "Bouéville" universe: Heatown.

In a Beat'm Up style, like Streets of Rage, Heatown is going to be the craziest game ever made with Clic & Play. (But was it always with this tool that he works...) Anyway, in our exchanges, Tohad explained to me that he wanted a theme music for his game that would have the taste of a TV series theme.

I still remember it at the time, he wanted something pop/rock that moved, it was also the musical colour I was trying to get with Buzz,... and often came back on the table the Smallville series !

But at the time, I didn't really have anything to go on, you couldn't do a little research on Youtube!

It took many versions of "The Rules of Heatown" to get close to Tohad's wish and the atmosphere of the game. Reworking the guitars, the niak of the song, the "Heaaaatowwwwwnnn" shouted by Pops125, one of the Trackers@Work kids to get to this "BadBoy" version.

What is the song about? It's inspired by the Boué universe and the different characters I've come to know through our projects over the last 2 years.

lyrics

Rap :

Wake up too late, as the other days
and steal some food to my neightboor
My gang have called me, they need I’m coming
We have some trouble with a skinhead couple

Then we’re going to wood, bringing (some) mushrooms
We met stupid dealers, gimme cap and breathe vapor
But Bizuts just falling, they want their part of deal
Five kicking ass, right punch on faces, and the deal is end

Gimmick chant :

I’m here the boy that women loved
riding my solex, I’m so respected
Heatwon I’m here,
I am your king

Refrain
Five Kicking ass, right punch on faces,
That’s all the secrets of Bouéman

King’s dunce at school,Name : Arthemus
No need to pay, he slaps for free

From underground, nightmare called Kinon
Toxic in vain, his sight make pains

But Zligue front them, they’re going paid
Bump and blow, the rules of Heatown
