Disco Racerz

December 17th, the "Pixelization" project will not be ready for Christmas, but as I have done in the past, a preview will be distributed to the family under the tree!

That day I let myself be trained in the composition of a modern disco track for the winter competition of the CSS Season Compo. Disco Racerz was not intended to be part of the Pixelization project, so I had in mind to compose a few things in the vein of the frenzied soundtracks of Konami's racing game: Ridge Racer Type 4.

"Not sure that the brother appreciates", I wrote then at the time!

On the technical side, I relied on arrangements worked directly from my Yamaha DJX then sampled digitally to reprogram everything in Impulse Tracker. As for the melody, using the retro chiptunes sounds of Virt (Jake Kaufman), it is particularly the melodic atmosphere of Fury of the Furries composed by Frédéric 'Elmobo' Motte which then inspired me, ... once again !

While I was preparing my interview to be able to follow a CD & Web Developper training at STE Formation for the year 2001, I continued to supply the Creadream.org website with new music now hosted on Modarchive that I had just discovered.

Then came the surprise later, this Disco Racerz will have pleased the brother! And he even inspired the composition of a Wallpaper opening the door to Disco Racerz to the Pixelization project ...
