There are around 20 years now i've discovering "Chiptunes". In 1995, i've sampled my GameBoy to make some tune sounding like that, but at that time i don't know about the rules of chipuntes, making musics with a tracker and so tiny looped instrument that sounds like that. I discovered that technics with Internet on Orange Juice and Demoscene and espcially on the Rez chiptunes website. So i've learned the rules and became also a chiptuners in the early new millenium years as cyb0rgjeff !

In january 2001, i've finished a complete CD album of chiptunes music called "HTML Quest", the song i've presented at the Inscene 2K. This original album include personnal chiptunes creation, some cover of Giana Sisters or Abba but also so Chiptunes of my brother Pype, my friend Pierrick and Tbob.

So after releasing "Super CJ Land" in december 2013, i had in mind to re-distribue this album, but some original files was corrupted. And i need to grab it from multi original written CDs.

Why not just re-rendering it from Impulse Tacker ? Because those original version have been masterised in year 2000 with some FX of the brand new Sound Blaster Life i've winnen at the Inscene 2K. Adding some reverb and chorus on those pure sounds that give a special effect i'd like to keep on this album.

So finally, this new edition received a new cover realised by a vietnamien fan... unfortunatly he's no nore on Facebook and i can't credit it correctly.

C'était il y a bientôt 20 ans, je découvrais les musiques Chiptunes. Oh, j'avais déjà samplé mon GameBoy en 1995 pour faire quelques musiques qui sonnent Nintendo, mais à l'époque je ne connaissais rien des règles qui régissent ce style de musique underground : faire des musiques avec un Soundtracker en n'utilisant que des instruments à base de boucles minuscules.

J'ai découvert cette technique lors de mes premiers pas sur Internet qui m'ont rapidement guidés vers la communauté demoscène Orange Juice puis le site de Rez dédié aux chiptunes. J'en ai appris les codes afin d'y faire mes classes sous le pseudo cyb0rgjeff au début de ce nouveau millénaire.

Après la Inscene 2K, la 2° Demoparty à laquelle j'avais participé, j'avais déjà pu suffisamment me faire la main au travers divers projets P.P.P. Team Software, dont la bande son de notre jeu Out'm Up ainsi qu'un projet pour Paradise Studio et Krystal Avalanche.

A la fin de l'année 2000, expatriée chez ma petite amie Jessica, je me dis que j'ai probablement de quoi envisager un Music Disk, l'équivalent d'un album dans le monde de la Chiptunes, et je me lance alors dans un marathon de production éclaire chaque fois que je rentre à la maison.

Au 1° janvier 2001, j'ai alors de quoi réaliser mon projet d'une 30aine de titre sous le nom de HTML Quest, la composition que j'ai réalisée durant la Inscene'2K. L'album original ne comportera pas que des productions originales mais également une série de reprises de Giana Sisters à Abba aux côtés de musiques programmées par mon frère Pype et mes amis Pierrick et Tbob.

En Décembre 2013, après avoir finalisé l'album "Super CJ Land", j'avais en tête de redistribuer cet album, mais certaines pistes étaient corrompues et j'ai dû fouiller d'autres sources pour les récupérer. Pourquoi ne pas simplement réaliser un nouveau rendu hors d'Impulse Tracker ? Tout simplement, parce que l'album original de l'an 2000 avait été modestement masterisés avec les caractéristiques FX de ma nouvelle Sound Blaster Live gagnée à la Inscene 2K. J'avais donc ajouté un peu de reverb et de chorus à ces sons trop pures pour leur donner une couleur si spécifique à cet album.
